War, bloodshed, privation, want, famine, and pestilence were abroad in the land. As these things surrounded God's people, they began to press together, and to cast aside their little difficulties. Self-dignity no longer controlled them; deep humility took its place. Suffering, perplexity, and privation caused reason to resume its throne, and the passionate and unreasonable man became sane, and acted with discretion and wisdom.
My attention was then called from the scene. There seemed to be a little time of peace. Once more the inhabitants of the earth were presented before me; and again everything was in the utmost confusion. Strife, war, and bloodshed, with famine and pestilence, raged everywhere. Other nations were engaged in this war and confusion. War caused famine. Want and bloodshed caused pestilence. And then men's hearts failed them for fear, "and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth."Reply: I think this comes right out of the Bible.
Bob.I don't know which battle's she's talking about, she doesn't say when, where or who. Thanks for the statement. She may have been reading her bible it sounds just like the 70th week of Dan.9: 24-27 "The time of Jacobs Trouble" to me. There is a Magog Invasion, then a 7 year peace treaty, which is broken in the middle. We know it as 3 1/2 yrs, 42 mos. 1260 days that the anti-christ rules. (Question 8). Followed by the coming of the Lord and the battle of Armageddon. You can read about the battles on the site. (Questions 23-26). Notice Israel has to be back in the land in unbelief. Eze.38,39 It's after the Magog battle that they look upon Him they pierced. Zech.12:10-13, between they battles they are cleaned-up (Refined by fire as gold is made pure) and look upon Him they pierced and mourn for Him. Zech. 13. But the Battle of Armageddon is about to come upon them. Zech. 14. Then God steps in and sets up His Kingdom.
